What's Growing On??                                     Spring 2010

Here we are at the start of another spring season!  Where does the time go?
We are looking forward to another great spring and hoping that you are too.

    New in annuals for spring 2010 . . .
Nicotiana Saratoga Appleblossom - We have dropped the Nicotiana Domino Antique Peach and
replaced it with Saratoga Appleblossom.  This will complete the changeover to the Saratoga Series in
    Nicotiana.
Salpiglossis Royale Purple Bicolor - There was such a great response to last years' introduction
of Royale Chocolate, we have added the Royale Purple Bicolor this year.  This salpiglossis has a
beautiful purple flower with a yellow throat.
Viola Velour Frosted Chocolate - This viola, while sounding delicious,  is quite distinctive with its'
lavender wing and bronzy violet face.
Zinnia Profusion Yellow  - Profusion Yellow has the same great genetics and habit of Profusion
Cherry and Orange, but adds a bright sunny yellow to the lineup.

We believe the increasing demand in spring vegetable starts will continue and
have added a few varieties in anticipation of that.

    New in vegetables for spring 2010 . . .
Green Beans Blue Lake Bush - This is a snap bean with 5 1/2" long dark green pods.
Brussels Sprouts Franklin - A new variety that has a quicker maturity date, so your customers can
begin to enjoy their harvest approximately 2 weeks earlier than the more traditional varieties.
Lettuce Salad Bowl Mix - A new mix of different shapes and colors of lettuces.  We think the lettuce
mix is a great value to the consumer, because they can get an assortment of lettuce in one pak.
Peas Oregon Sugar Pod - This pea has flat smooth 4" edible pods.
Tomato Lemon Boy - This will take the place of Yellow Pear Tomato.  Lemon Boy is a round,
    7 ounce, 72 day tomato.

We hope that you will find these additions and changes helpful in selling the best
plants possible to your customer this spring.  Please let us know what you think
of them or if there are any other changes you would like to see occur.

    Carol, Bel-R Production Dept.
